Tours of Naples and the Surrounding Area

Historical Centre of Naples*
An itinerary through ancient Neapolis, exploring the famous "Spaccanapoli." Visit churches and monuments, discover the history of the Neapolitan nativity scene, the red horn amulet and St Januarius and his legendary treasure, finishing up at the renowned Sansevero Chapel with the famous sculpture of the Veiled Christ.
Duration: 3 hours.

Monumental Naples*
An itinerary incorporating places of power and royal residences that have gone down in the history of Naples. From the monumental Piazza Plebiscito with the Royal Palace, a place of intrigue and royalty, to Via Toledo with the Quartieri Spagnoli, a fascinating symbol of Neapolitan daily life. The tour then moves on to Toledo metro station, reputed to be the most beautiful in Europe, and UniversitÓ station, before visiting the most famous castle in Naples: the Maschio Angioino.
Duration: 3 hours.

Pompeii

Pompeii can be described as the only archaeological site to offer an idea of what a Roman city looked like in its entirety. The itinerary provides an introduction to Roman life 2000 years ago, with its public events and entertainment in the Forum, the Baths and the Theatres, and the more intimate and private aspects of daily life. Time seems to have stopped in 79 A.D. in the Lupanar (brothel), workshops and homes with their perfectly preserved frescoes and mosaics.
Duration: 2 hours.

Herculaneum and Oplonti

Herculaneum was an ancient Roman holiday resort. Built on the seashore, the city is home to some of the richest houses in the area and workshops that almost seem to have been frozen in time, helping us to reconstruct public and private aspects of ancient Roman life. Not far from Herculaneum is the city of Oplonti with the Villa Poppaea, owned by Nero's second wife. This wonderful example of an aristocratic villa features perfectly preserved interiors decorated with stunning frescoes.

Caserta

Visit the luxuriant royal palace that was home to the Bourbons and Joachim Murat. Discover its apartments with their richly decorated bed chambers, the monumental salons, the throne room, the royal chapel and, lastly, the well-stocked library. After experiencing the splendid interiors of the world's largest royal palace, we will head outside to explore its gardens with their beautiful fountains and Baroque sculptures.
Duration: 2 hours.

Tours of Ischia

"My Brilliant Friend" Tour
Explore the entire island by minibus, discovering its charm and history, but above all visiting the places familiar to Len¨, Lila, Nino and his friend Bruno during that summer that changed their lives forever. From Len¨'s arrival in the village of Ischia Ponte described in the first novel to the most exciting moments of the second novel, which unfold in the village of Cuotto and on Citara beach. Lastly, Forio with the church of the Soccorso and the historical town centre, Maronti beach and Mount Epomeo, which acted as a backdrop to some of the brilliant young friends' most intense experiences.
There will also be a short tasting session with typical local produce.
Duration: 3 hours. The cost of the tasting session and minibus hire will be calculated separately.

Panoramic Tour of the Island
Tour of the entire island of Ischia, stopping at the most panoramic spots. The itinerary will take in the Aragonese Castle, a fortified citadel with footpaths surrounded by greenery, churches and terraces overlooking the Bay of Naples, Forio with the church of the Soccorso, and the evocative village of Sant'Angelo. Explore the island's six municipalities, discovering their history and traditions with numerous photographic stop-offs. On request, the tour can be extended with a visit to La Mortella Gardens, a beautiful Mediterranean and subtropical paradise created by Lady Susana and Sir William Walton. Together we'll discover their intense love story and the secret life of the fascinating rare plants and species from every corner of the planet.
Please note that the gardens are only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The tour will include a lunch break with a typical fish-based menu or Ischia-style rabbit.
Duration: whole day, up to a maximum of 8 hours. Lunch, entry to the Aragonese Castle and to La Mortella Gardens not included in the tour price.

You and the teacher will talk about the language, culture and lifestyle of Bella Italia on a totally stress-free basis, adopting a communicative approach.
Native English, German and Russian speakers who want to start learning Italian can benefit from the fact that many of the topics can be explained in their mother tongue.
You won't have to go anywhere. The teacher will come to the hotel and all materials are included in the price.
